I also enjoyed Iradelphic. Maybe I was able to because I already stopped expecting Clark being a present inheritor of that particular kind of music people worship here (call it IDM, music released by Warp in the 90s or whatever). It's hard to explain but after getting familiar with his works, I started to feel there is a kind of sensuality in Clark's work, or to put it another way, maybe a will of him to seduce through his music. Iradelphic didn't surprise me really.

those two promo tracks though... huh my interest for this new album is quite low at the moment. Maybe it could grow on me, I don't know.

Clark structures his albums perfectly. I have a good feeling this will be no different and all will be well in the end. I have a good feeling about this album.

I can't believe "The Pining Pt1" doesn't do it for most people regarding Iradelphic. I fucking adore that track

The last half with the synth riff fading up

I like alot of things on iradelphic, but as an album it's a crappy one. Not entertaining nor fulfilling and I must have heard it about 100 times to make sure (I really wanted to love it).

Less than a week! I can't listen to this track enough! I wake up in the middle of the night with it in my head. I love Aphex! I'm so excited. I've checked this god-4-saken website everyday for fucking YEARS with NO news and we're so close! Holy Shit! Oh my god! Anybody else feel like this everyday? Can't wait to hear that METZ track in HD glory! My speakers and headphones have no idea what they are about to be put through! Fanboy I am! BRING IT ALREADY!

Aye - whenever I have my mp3 player on random and a track from Iradelphic comes on I really quite enjoy it, though oddly the album in one sitting is a bit of a grind. Ditto with the latest BoC - love tracks from it, but don't really love it as an album

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

yeah the three pining-tracks are the best about iradelphic for me but i dislike them because they are basically three times the same content with different instruments and zero development

edit: not true, the preview track with the very pink floyd like synth solo is the best for me

and true about if clark was in for the money he would have used the totems flare / growls garden formula

Clark wants to become famous and make money, so he had to simplify his music. That's fine, but artistically empty. He will lose his original fans and make a lot more along the way. It happens all the time in the music world.

I think he at his peak right now. Nov. 3 he wil release his best record ever. No doubt about it .

HEY ?? Where is my 3 warning points ? I kind of liked them.

0-2 right now as far as tracks. NO to unfurla/grit in the pearl. Just....no.

Thanks user487363530. And user4873635301. Now 48736353001.

Yes to Winter Linn and Sodium Trimmers though.

I fucking don't like the mixing though. It really feels like it's been mixed for clubs only (Linn sounded better there), with a big fuck you to headphones and home speakers.

edit : OH MY GOD BANJO

FUCKING BANJO

okay guys, almost finished now, and all that I can say is : lol fuck the Grit in the Pearl.

Beacon, Petroleum Tinged and Silvered Iris are epic !

I hope there's that track Dorkington talked about right after that. clark pls that'd be perfect.

It's not on there... is it...

It doesn't sound like Iradelphic lol

Ok I'm gonna try and make a first listen review here : not his best album, far from it, but I feel like it's going to be a grower. Unfurla, although being a nice track, and The Grit In The Pearl didn't deserve to be the singles.

There are some nice bangers in there. The problem though is that you clearly hear this album has been made in 4 months, since you could also hear when Clark used to take years to make his previous LPs. A lot of the tracks here really could have benefit from some more development and maturation imo.

I've already mentioned the mixing being weird : Clark's previous stuff also used to be a bliss both for headphones and big sound systems. Here it seems to be meant to be played only for the latter, like really loud. I guess it fits the "post-rave" club theme but well...

Last disappointing thing is the absence of the track I mentioned in the posts above :----((( but don't worry Dorkington, Clark can't possibly make another album after this without it... c-can he ?

Nice album though. Weird in a way from Clark, but certainly not bad.

I see the pre-order bullcrap of the vidja game industry is slowly infecting the music industry too. Just give us the album already instead of this exclusive shit.
