Tropa de Elite (Elite Squad) - 8/10 watched this when someone posted that the director would be directing the robocop remake. Pretty good, would recommend.

Ah yes, I've been meaning to watch some Satyajit Ray, the Apu Trilogy especially. Being kinda spoilt though, I'm always holding out for blurays. I should just grab the DVD set now.

Yeah, I wouldn't wait for Blu-ray. Sony Pictures Classics distributed the trilogy in the west and somehow, I doubt they're going to make a high priority of a blu-ray transfer.

I still find it rather remarkable (and very sad) that Criterion hasn't released *anything* from Ray.

That being said, the SPC transfer on DVD is very high quality.

I really enjoyed the trailer before the grindhouse movies and was fairly excited when Machete was announced as a full length film, but somewhere along the way I just lost all interest in it.
