Currently going through Star Trek Voyager.. childhood memories :emotawesomepm9:

I´m surprised what a good show it is after all. The story never made so much "sense" in any other series I have watched so far.

Right now I´m in the middle of Season 3 and freaked out after I discovered those two:

Skyline = wasn't unhappy that i watched this popcorn cause i wasn't expecting much, it moved reasonably quickly, the acting was poor but whatever/10

I wasn't expecting anything but stupid cgi and I still regret watching it.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

heh, .. On imdb one of the complaints was the wooden but perfect looking characters. This was a lol because if they were the tame wraiths we call hollywood stars populating this picture. No one would be cursing the fact that they had nice bodies, or couldn't act.

eneewae, right place right time, had i been of a more sour and distracted disposition i surely would have hated the thing.

Guest Benedict Cumberbatch

jackie brown 6/10

saw this when it came out and thought it was ok but forgettable. watched it again and felt the same way. deniro underplaying is interesting. jackson is obviously great as ordell. but overall i thought the plot was kinda dull and the ending is stupid. it just isn't smart enough. i like it but it could be so much better for who made it and who stars. yeah yeah i know y'all loves it, fyall

no, you're right, i seem to recall that it's crap. relying too much on 'cool dress-ups' to hide the mess-ups. That era's version of hipster or something.

maybe i will think differently nao, it has been a long moem.

i don't think the ending should be looked at as some attempt to be ultra clever, it's the mundanity of the 'heist' at the end that makes it so charming for me, especially with the setting of the late 80s esque Delano shopping mall.

but it's definitely Tarantino's most 'dry' movie in a sense, i can see why people don't absolutely love it. However it's the only Tarantino movie i've seen which actually tries to do a love story and i think it succeeds a lot in that department. i've never seen one of his movies where tears actually well up besides Jackie Brown.

scenes like this to me make the movie

this movie and Ed Wood came in a time in my life when i was getting old enough to understand some of the more emotive parts of movies. Oddly neither director has made a movie as good since, not even close

swtich reservoir dogs and death proof and that's my list. i thought death proof was way too far up tarantino's ass. "look how much i know about obscure cinema!" not that his other films aren't like that, it just seemed like death proof took it to a whole new level.

i had that backfire, and with the worst movies ever. tried to sneak into 200 cigarettes and ended up getting stuck in wing commander. wing commander. and the story i mentioned in the walking out of movies thread, my giant instead of the big lebowski. ugggggggggggggh.

anyways i am currently watching the first season of upright citizens brigade. HONG KONG DANGER DUO!

tetro... loved it. slow burning first 3/4's and nice crescendo to a slightly cringeworthy final "everything's going to be alright" moment... gallo gets alot of flack for his 'distant' acting style in this but i thought he was great portraying a man who's dead inside after trauma and mental illness.
