I dunno, 30 rock has this grating way of attempting to force dry humor at the same time as being endearing. Community does this to, and I think what you refer to as 'heart' I interpret as 'trying way too hard.' That being said, I still watch all of the Thursday night comedies, but I honestly feel that Parks and Recreation is the only show of the bunch that is worth watching. All the others seem to have to many in-jokes and self referential comedy.

i haven't seen a lot of parks and rec but what i saw just seemed bleh to me. i don't like amy poehler. at all. i do like tina fey quite a bit and i really like pretty much everybody on community. different strokes for different folks, i guess.

any of those stand up for "arrested development"???

Splice, geh/10/. Seriously the bastards, they should have told me that they didn't have a budget and lacked a script.

I don't think the budget was the problem. It's the same guy who made Cube and he definitely had less money to spend there. But I didn't like Splice either. It started off pretty good actually but then it got silly as soon as things were getting humanoid.

silly is not the right word lol

Amy Poehler is one of the reasons I like the show. I will watch anything that has the UCB people (including outsourced for matt walsh *shudder*)

oh god matt walsh is on outsourced? :(

he had a brilliant cameo on community though!

and re: NBC love? I like two NBC shows. TWO. out of like i dunno, 90? it's not "nbc love" its "two really fucking good shows" love

and they definitely stack up to arrested development pretty well.

I disagree, wouldn't put them in the same league. I'd say it's a step up from past NBC comedies like Friends or whatever though.

not saying "same league" just as close as you'll get when it comes to shows that are still on the air.

i can't even think of any not on the air shows that are in the same league as arrested development. maybe the first couple of series of peep show. or spaced. but it's definitely in a league of its own.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, South Park. That's all i can think of that are currently running. matt besser is on parks and rec sometimes too.

Jackass 3D hilarious/10

I grew up watching these guys and I have to say, this was just great. Bam pissing towards a jet engine was hysterical. The Rocky punches were incredible. And Steve-O in the port-a-potty was LOL
