I'm watching every episode of Trailer Park Boys chronologically. Living in Atlantic Canada I'm pretty much legally required to.

You can't go wrong with that.

trailer park boys was a big surprise to me, i literally thought it was an american show (my first mistake) about trailer trash southern people or something, like a terribly cheesy satire of trailer people but it's Canadian which eliminates any of the cliches that an american show of a similar nature would have. It's become one of my favorite shows as of late, and i only just watched the first episode last month

workaholics is really funny. I don't think it is really too much like always sunny, which I also really like.

I just watched these films:

-north by northwest

-strangers on a train

-dial M for murder

-The Fly

-The Maltese Falcon

-I started watching dead ringers too but didn't finish it last night as I had already watched the others. Strange movie so far, he just fucked the model up against the bed tied down with rubber tubing and forceps.

I'm starting to run out of hitchcock movies that I am enjoying. north by northwest was good but almost a fun family romp more than something I want to seriously study. Strangers on a train was really weird, kind of cool, but really weird. Dial M for murder was just kind of boring, clever, but too much like a play and not that great, Rope was far better as to that style. Any other Hitchcock to recommend? I've also already seen psycho, vertigo(must watch again soon), rear window and the birds. I have shadow of a doubt and notorious as possible candidates for the next one.

I'm also looking for more cronenberg movies. All I have seen are the fly, videodrome, and scanners. I'm going to watch the Brood and Dead Ringers for sure.

YOu have to watch Frenzy, it reminds me of a Coen brotherfied Hitchcock movie, lots of long drawn out scenes and fun twists, also a fully english cast.

Rebecca and The Wrong Man are also decent

Oh, i have rebecca already, thought it wasn't hitchcock. I'll watch frenzy right away. I just watches Francis Ford Coppola's; The Conversation, and it was excellent. An amazing movie. A pretty basic plot/story ideas, but the cinematography, props, and acting are all top notch. Really a great film, 9/10.

Crash (the one with James Spader, not the movie about racism) and Existenz are pretty good '90s Cronenberg, before he went all normal for a bit. I've heard good things about Spider but I haven't seen it.

Actually, I haven't seen the "normal" modern Cronenberg movies either; they're probably still fucked up. I just don't want to see Aragorn nekkid again.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

i thought crash and existenz were pants. the rubber game controller thing in existenz is hilariously tacky.

i suggest naked lunch and shivers for trademark weirdness.

and for 'normals' - the dead zone is must see (christopher walken!)... eastern promises and history of violence are excellent (even including naked viggo).

I don't understand how anyone couldn't love a little nekkid Viggo in their life. Unless they're gay...

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

- lost cloud

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

-organized confused project

exactly. watch the bath/fight scene in eastern promises and tell me you're not feeling slightly aroused.

Mermaid - Pretty good. Had some genuinely funny and some genuinely fucked up moments. 7/10

Zodiac - Still awesome. 9/10

I haven't watched Crash in probably a decade. I went into it not familiar with the book so when they were leading up to what was going on, I kept saying "they aren't really going to do that are they?" and then they did. I still don't remember whether I liked it or not. Have to rewatch.

someone recently told me he hates crash because "it's racist". i saw it ages ago but can't really recall anything racist about it. is it though? or is this person just an idiot?

im thinking idiot, like when people compared starship troopers to fascist propaganda. or like when reviewers gave vietcong (the game) shitty scores because its characters said "gook" alot so it was deemed racist

RANTING

edit: oh, you're talking about a different crash.

i can't believe they would title a movie of such banality with one of such genius, if i was Cronenberg id make a public statement disassociating myself from that POS

It's really just because I'm afraid it will bring back memories of A Perfect Murder, and that movie fucking sucked.

Also, my girlfriend would probably watch it with me and I hate rubbing one out in front of her.

I totally forgot about existenz, I saw that one a long time ago. Crash I still have yet to see, it has a pretty low IMDB rating but you sometimes have to take those with a grain of salt. By normal modern, do you mean Eastern Promises and History of Violence and such? I don't think I have seen those either, that I can remember. Apparently he has two new movies, one of them is about Freud and Jung which comes out in a couple months, titled "A Dangerous Method". The other one is called Comopolis, the description on IMDB is "Follows a multimillionaire on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan." Whatever that means.

Yeah, let's get real...if you trust IMDB ratings, then Little Miss Sunshine was a fucking masterpiece.

Yeah, so is "The Others" starring nicole kidman. It has like a 7.9, when it should be a 5 or a 6 at best. What a shitty movie.

I just finished "The Brood" and holy fuck is all I can say at the moment. The part when
