anyone know of a US dist. to preorder? or is it bleep only

bleep is charging as much shipping almost as the cost of the package!

wtf? I'm in Canada and it cost $18.something for the CD including shipping and tax

thats without the wavs + mp3s, but who needs those when you have the cd?

the vinyl shipping is about $25, which is outrageous. I'm waiting for a US retailer, I don't care if the 180 gram vinyl is heavy, I've bought much heavier things than this and the shipping was nowhere near this amount.

$25 is really not that much. I spend that much on weed every week.

hearing autechre in 24 bits is gonna be ballin' outta control.

can't wait to hear this shit playing. they're booked to play in Slovenia for the first time, just when I've finally decided to live abroad, so my long-awaited wish to hear them here fell into water... Hopefully they will be playing in Denmark a month later which is very, very, very nice.

Personally I don't really like Tri Rep anyway... I'd be more excited if it ended up sounding like Chiastic Slide or LP5.

I dunno why I get so excited and caught up in Autechre hype considering the last album I liked was Confield...

i am so incredibly exciting about this album. i can't wait to hear it. i can't wait to hear samples for the first time. i want to hear samples and get excited as to how awesome they sound. actually, fuck it. i'm not going to listen to any samples! i know i'll fail miserebly and cave in after 5 minutes of realising samples have emerged, but i'll try :)

I just bought the vinyl too. I was a bit reluctant at first as I haven't really loved a lot of their latest stuff. However you have to have faith don't you? And now I am buzzing, really looking forward to playing it. If I hadn't got the vinyl I would of just kicked myself for months afterwards.

I got to admit I would feel the same as the North Americans if I had to pay that much shipping, especially if it wasn't shit-hot. But you got to be in it to win it!

What I'm listening is the real deal. ILanders matches the description of a sick beat with tri-repetae pads over it.

Pt2ph is very much ambient like french electronic avant-garde of the 60s. Qplay is very incunabula-ish, one of the weakest track it seems. See on see is an other old schoolish track with a few vst twists over it. Treale is beautifully ambient with sort of synthetic birds noises. Jesus this album is getting really old school -> os veix 3 from the chiastic slide era. 0=o is more ambient / concrete/ avant garde stuff. This d-sho qub doesn't match jaderpansen description above. But it's definitely an ae track. Beautiful pads and melody by the way. One of the best tracks so far. st epreo is a massive beat reminiscent of Cfern but straight 4/4 wih the obvious twists in the end, and very nice hi sounds reminiscent of that third track on Draft. Excellent track. Redfall is another ambient track. The beat of Krylon comes straight from Tri-rep era but the pads are more modern with a lot of melodic emphasis. The album ends on yuop, another ambient track, not very good imo.

Conclusion: A very melodic Ae album, very retro in some parts, no crazy beats like confield-draft-gantz graf but still some enjoyable beat shifts and breaks. It's looking good.

i don't usually bash the n00bs around these parts, but i must say that this statement is revelatory in the sense that people not super familiar with AE or sound production can confuse something that is stripped down, not fleshed out, and amateurish as 'old school' . It's not bad music at all, i actually like some of this fake. it just doesn't even sound like proper old AE either. any way you slice it this leak is not real.
