i like the shorter tracks on oversteps but i miss the evolving progressions of earlier ae. now it seems as if ae uses 2-4 tracks to capture the same progression, but i like shit all mashed together and songs that change drastically.

Personally, I am pretty excited about this release. Oversteps was good and all, but this new track to me may be better than anything on oversteps, i'm not sure. I dropped it in my last dj set and it sat quite well.

It appears that the Japanese bonus track is 'ClnChr', according to HMV Japan.

You underestimate Autechre. They've made it the Oversteps avatar to convince people that they are fakes when in fact they aren't. It's all part of their elaborate scheme.

sure, there's got to be some sort of irrational logic to using an old cover to promote a new album. i guess you've nailed it: it's an elaborate scheme. of some sorts
