has anyone worked out how to download this track? ANyone copied it, I try to record it on Live with my TC Twin Impact but get lots of clicks, not bad really it adds to the track, but would prefer the non crack version.

I got a clean version of it. Send me a message if you want it as I'm not exactly sure if I'm allowed to post it here or not...

I think I'm the only one here that would enjoy ten tracks of Autechre doing nothing but acid tracks.

I would probably not complain.

Might be Jazz (can't be arsed to look back over 20-odd pages of fanboi masturbation), but it looks like there may be a Japanese bonus track:

Links, a bit fucked, but I think it's safe to say if there is one it won't be called Domestic Dial Award.

Further fucking edit: scroll down a bit.

according to that site's page for Move of Ten, there is a Japanese bonus track. I just read the interview too, pretty cool. They say that Move of Ten is more similar to their live set because they used a similar gear setup (to their live set) when creating it. I might translate the whole thing later this week when I have time. Sean also talks a lot about how surprised they were at the positive reaction to Oversteps... no real huge revelations though.

I would do unspeakable things to see Eye and Autechre at the same gig.

Ok, just worked out the length of the new release from the updated file sizes on Bleep. Both calculations come to around 45:40 in length.

16 BIT:
483*8*(10^6) = 3.864*(10^9) (/2)
            = 1.932*(10^9) (/44100)
            = 43,809.5 (/16)
            = 2738 seconds (/60)
            = 45.5 minutes

24 BIT:
726*8*(10^6) = 5.808*(10^9) (/2)
            = 2.904*(10^9) (/44100)
            = 65,850.3 (/24)
            = 2743 seconds (/60)
            = 45.7 minutes

Nice length... 10 tracks at 48 mins is pretty much in line with the track lengths on Oversteps. That sounds alot better to me than the 2.5 hour length of quadrange (which is primarily why I don't listen to it much)

Guest theSun

well 40% of quadrange was one song so there's that....

personally i like ae tracks that go about 10minutes. proper time for an ae progression.

think second peng and the quarters and drane2 and sublimit and cipater.

i like the shorter tracks on oversteps but i miss the evolving progressions of earlier ae. now it seems as if ae uses 2-4 tracks to capture the same progression, but i like shit all mashed together and songs that change drastically.

I totally agree, thats some of ae's best (cipater and sublimit are up there with my favs)... but right now I like that they're changing up their albums a bit (since quaristice) with lots of different ideas. Also excited that from the titles (and y7) it doesn't seem to be all reworked tracks from Oversteps. Honestly, for me quaristice, versions & quadrange was just a little too overkill.

Guest victorian sewer rituals

Well translating the interview with a few different programs didn't really make it much more legible than the japanese text. Right now after reading it in multiple diff translations i feel myself not able to properly think about how words are actually supposed to go. Basically i feel like a drunken robot.

What i gathered though is that, as has been mentioned, they were surprised with the positive response to oversteps and move of ten is related to their latest live sets . It was partly made with their live setup. Sean also talks about how they want to add visual elements to their live shows but haven't found the right way to do it yet blah blah blah.

Here is my favorite translation: "for hours, even days, sometimes weeks were spent in making music to play live, then I'm the performance of pretense. now is of course Ableton Live software like, I can put forth a feeling that tinkering with live music finished, we live based on a simple song What a charming way that we will be transformed into a form. is first and foremost live set "Live (live)" Do you have a chance to show consciousness called. So decide first, what with the equipment actually What we do. What do you produce something in the environment and its. "

Can't wait to get a real translation :emotawesomepm9:

I think it's funny that they expected people to not like oversteps as much as they did.

I hope that really heavy beat they use at the start of their current live set makes it on to the album.

I have the domino set burnt to CD for playing in my car. Those first 10 minutes of the set with the kick-snare track are just awesome for driving to work.... Move Of Ten sounds like it will be a winner.

Interesting comment on visual elements, I think it could work if done very subtly. Recently, Moderat have done this to great effect.

Don't know if it will be better, but for sure it's gonna be different.

Plus I'm very looking forward having this EP : I think it's gonna be my first Autechre vinyl. And they gonna be two.

You know, I belong to the CD generation
