can't wait to outfit my fortress with secret piston passages/staircases galore. I already know where I will put them.

I forced update and got 1.7_01 working, still doesn't get me into the server sadly.

I can't get the video to load. I'm on a pretty shit connection for the month though, so it might be me.

do any of you guys just delete your worlds on single player and never look back? i like starting from scratch and exploring new caves in a world that had all the resources i need with in my visible chunks.

Yeh I got rid of my single player worlds. Have to travel pretty far to get that starting from scratch experience in this server but it's not that big of a deal with nether portals. I've been doing that the last month actually. It's more interesting on our server anyways because I still stumble across random things other people built or left behind out in the middle of nowhere.

For example I found a cabin Murve made on top of some mountain waaaay out in the east. And actually it was about to turn dark, how convenient. :P

For the upcoming Adventure update:

New features in the terrain generator; things which will only appear in new worlds/new generated areas.[4]

Underground Ravines including canyons on the surface and ledges to walk on.[5][6]

Ruins, consisting of 3 new blocks: Stone brick, Mossy stone brick and Cracked stone brick [7]

New Mushroom biome[8] which will include Huge Mushrooms, both brown and red.[9]

Wooo can't wait. Hope the mushroom biomes are super rare though. Or it would be...strange.

Wow, can't say if I'm ok with this. Ruins look great, houses kinda cool, but mushrooms...why? It looks too much like super mario to me.

i'm way more excited about jeb's ruins than notch's npc villages. that metal gate thing has really piqued my interest.

Ha, if you keep walking east there should be 4 more for everyday of travel. Traveling is my favorite thing to do, but since the nether portal update, I haven't had the desire. I start traveling and think, I could just make a portal, and then I give up.

I guess I could travel in the nether and attempt to make houses, then build a portal when I get super far. Thinking out loud here. Yea, I'll do that.

I really like the ruins too. Looks sweet. And extra decorative or rare blocks to build with too.

Awesome, I just start exploring when I get bored of building. I am on the edge of unexplored land on our world map. Waiting for this update to head out there so the new features will generate.

lol, the mushrooms and npc villages are complete

when they said NPC villages I thought they meant they were suited to fit existing NPCs. Meaning you'd have a slimy/plague ridden zombie NPC village, or a greco-roman skeleton archer village, or a cobwebby spider-infested village. Not some shit huts. And why do they have glass?? They should add some new decorative bricks with no formal function to sex things up a bit. Everyone loves the mossy dungeon cobblestone.

Now the ruins, they look good.

But yeah...meh

yea , they really need more blocks that can be used for building stuff, we need furniture and other decorations, and more ore and basic materials would be nice

Yea, the mushrooms are gay. But what are they made of? We might have a new material.
