it's not much, but inside I removed a block and revealed a creeper. The creeper exploded and revealed a huge void above, within the mountain. You can't see much here, and I can't get any closer without dying due to a constant stream of beasts.

hollow out a few unobtrusive windows, concealed piston entrance. add multiple floors. panel the inside with wood. add a glass roof only visible from above. et voila, dr. evil style hidden base

It's funny, I thought I'd be addicted to minecraft once the pistons came out. Maybe I need that adventure mode update.

those honky ma faa slimes spawn all the time in my underground railroad. It's at level 12 and well lit but the fuckers still spawn on the track. They crash the game if you run into them on the mine cart. If any you dudes are doing some epic sticky piston project I've got 100+ slime balls in my inventory room. Go rob it.

I had a serious slime infestation in my collosal mine at one point. Cleared that shit out thank god.

What about sticky pistons that will soon use all the time?
