K, I have a technical question I wonder someone here might be able to help me with.

I've recently moved back into university halls and tried to connect to the server, which can't be done as it only accepts connections over port 80. Initially I got myself a VPN subscription to override this, but I haven't been able to use it as it uses UDP protocol to connect, which my connection doesn't support and my TCP connection has been restricted to connecting to the VPN (apparently it breaches the TOS of using the connection and causes some security problem apparently, which I'm skeptical about but can't really do anything about it). I was wondering if anyone here knew a way I'd still be able to get onto the server with such a restrictive connection?

Should probably also say if anyone's concerned if there's no way I can connect I'll still fund the server and keep it running, so you guys are safe.

Could you tell the minecraft server itself to run on port 80? Its in the server properties somewhere

(although the host might not allow that if its also a web server)

oh jeez. no biggie stomach but I just finished a new 30 min night test of the grinder with just me on the servr and it's producing 351 ish items which is 213% less than it did with the original setup. I wonder why that is! maybe because it's lower it's not spawning as many mobs??

not calling for a re-build or anything just noting it as I'm on a stats kick recently.

hey yeah Im not sure how to make it more efficient than it was before. I changed it around a bit but i think some of the loot is still getting burned up. The only thing else i can think of is make a timed crusher on a constant loop.... but fuck that

it's a mod that improves FPS rates, but another option it has is to increase draw distance to 3x max.

i think you need to relax. it's probably a server issue, play offline for a bit and hone your skills. i usually play in creative mode these days anyway which is effectively offline for all intents and purposes and still find it hugely enjoyable.

I'm assuming you guys are running the server in online mode, right? If not, and you're running it in offline mode, I'd totally hop in on this minecraft action.

I am totally hooked to the game again. The updates now all make sense there are very very very large cave systems underground that are all connected and the biomemes are really fun to play. Currently getting into the whole enchantment thing the first time and its great fun. I did also build a map for the first time and it works really well but i wonder how to farming works as I haven't tried it yet.

In about 10 days there is going to be a huge update with a nether endboss and witches. really looking forward to this. the nether seems to have had some quite large updates recently with strongholds and stuff?
