Oh yeah, you guys are good. I'm leaving it open to guests for a week or two until everyone's name is on the chart.

Server's in Chicago, US. Gotta say it's running pretty good for me in Virginia, hitting mobs and interactive with blocks feels like i'm connected via LAN..

Tech support replied to my ticket. Their suggestion was to try manually typing every number in the IP, because invisible spaces sometimes paste into the program.

I thought we'd be past that what with the traceroute and whois. Obviously your computer was traversing hops to reach a destination very close to the server's IP. It was dropping out on a domain owned by Steadfast, where presumably the servers are hosted. Like I mentioned in the ticket, the whois lookups on both addresses spit out Steadfast.net domains. But why you would reach the 208.* address and not my server's 50.31.67.138 is still beyond me.

By the way, for hosting, Minefold is pretty good: https://minefold.com

You buy time in hours and you only pay while people are online.

The server scales automatically to handle any number of players - but you pay per player hour.

Also you can have an option where each player has to pay thier own way

It might work well for watmm when there are bursts of activity and then nothing.

$60 get 1000 player-hours

That is pretty neat I must say. I'll definitely look into it.

30 days is going to go by quick and then i'm game for whatever host is best.

Whoa, is Minefold a distributed computing service?!

I'm waiting for pictures to see how you're doing

www.petergaber.com is where I keep my paintings. I used to have a kinky tumblr, but it exploded.
