Video Games What video games are you currently playing?

Blah I preordered both Mortal Kombat and Portal 2 but due to some Amazon flaw, I won't get them until next week and there is nothing i can do about it unless I want to order them again, then return the ones that arrive next week.

Guess I'll be patient but why bother preordering if you are going to get them a week late.

portal 2 is only EUR30 on amazon now... but it's physical media and wouldn't be posted til apr 21

i actually don't mind paying extra on steam for the preorder too much

i just started Half Life 2, i love it.

it's great being behind the times with games and stuff because they're always cheap.

HL2 is the best gaming experience you'll have on the PC, so far at least. imo. it's pretty much perfect.

I guess people should've known better than to trust GLaDOS? Not released early at all despite tons of people shelling out 40 bucks for not portal. lol? oh well, i'm still pumped.

yeah, pretty fucked. To be honest I probably won't buy the game for a long time. Either until I start raking in cash or it gets cheap. I've limited myself for $20-30 US for games at the most. Which is good because I'm pretty behind the times on a bunch of shit. I'll probably grab red dead redemption or assassin's creed 2 next, both of which I have never played at all.

EDIT: by the way, at this point, if you have portal 2 on steam, you can play it now.

Yup, Portal 2 is out. And a lot of people (like me) are at work. lol. Or stayed up for the unlock and are red eyed right now. Can't wait to play it at lunch time!

I am a bit disappoint cuz I was gonna play it at lunch time, but our internet is deathly slow here and the reaming time on the Portal 2 download from steam was 2 days. :( I pre-ordered and d/led at home but didn't pay any mind to it. I didn't realize it was 10.1 gigs!

Counting down to 17:00, I'm so useless today.

Yeah, a 1 year (15 months actually) PSN Plus account would be a good use for it - you get lots of free games and DLC with it, plus access to early betas, etc. We just got the latest Killzone 3 map pack for free with our Plus account.

LOL.. GLaDOS is such as asshole in Portal 2.

Just picked up The Saboteur... don't normally like these GTA-type games, but I like the characters and the visual style.

for those of you who are cheap-ass bastards, pirated versions of Portal 2 are now out there.

but i would add if you choose to give your money to only one software house on the planet, it should be valve. and mojang. two software houses.

You have to admit valve and mojang are doing pretty well without my money though. Just sayin' although they do deserve it.
