catherine looks good. i might pick it up when it's released in the uk (and give it a while for the price to drop). looks like an awkward game to have tho. couldn't imagine playing it around people with all the animu sexual themes.

playing Grand Theft Auto 4: The Ballad Of Gay Tony

I finished it a while ago, but now I'm going for the 100% Mission score trophy

I AM SO FUCKING READY FOR BF3!!!!!!!!! Goddamn, I am so ready... Just bought a GTX580 in preparation for the Beta next month.

**waves goodbye to the SLI'd 9800GTX+ 1GB cards that have got me through the last 4 years of gaming**

Edited by hautlle

yeah..i've been playing bc2 last month but it feels more like cod games than battlefield, i missed the scope of bf, massive maps with jets and shit, should be great.

damn, i'm still riding out my 8800gtx. has been able to run everything well thus far

I'm sure 2 9800GTX cards would play it decently enough, but I want the DX11. Those cards are the last remnants of my old PC build. I kept the one 9800 I had, bought another used off ebay when I built my i7 machine. Hard to say if a single 8800 will be able to do anything other than minimum graphics settings on BF3.

8800gtx is sort of equivalent to what xbox or ps3 have, even better probably. it will be more than alright, depends on the rest of the system though, the engine is similar to that of bad company 2 after all.

I'm sure it will run it (depending on CPU like you said) but my point was that it will probably be @ like 800x600 or 1024 with poor quality settings

remember the Minimum requirement for BC2 was a 7800GT I'd say you'll be pushing the hell out of a single 8800

im sure it'll do more than just bare minimum, it's a great older card, it's much better than the previous 7800 and its pretty much the same as 9800gtx. we'll just have to wait for beta youtubes.

Just got this by mail. I am planning to beat the games in chronological order and be aware I have never played the original Megaman games very seriously. I was expecting it to be hard as fuck and I have only beaten 3 bosses in the first Megaman so far. How could kids play this in the 80s? This is madness!

It gets easier with part 2, than harder again starting with part 3. Classic series though... How about that music eh?

The music is great and catchy. I wish I was more familiar with the series for the Megaman cover compilation.

Update: I beat the 6 robot masters and I'm stuck at Rock Monster (the monster from Joyrex's avatar). FUUUUU

i got DJ Hero (the deck and the game) for £12 i dont think they charged me for the game which was on inside the box.. its pretty fun.. could get boring easy though on lower hardness levels... cant complain with such a low price though

ya youd think it would be like that but when you actually play the game its not creepy or weird at all its got a really cool style to it and good humor

and actually i find its funner to play with people around passing the control taking turns because trust me u do get stuck (if u play on normal) and some times its good to get a 3rd persons try cuz they get to think of new ways to beat the levels without being under pressure

I picked up dragon age origins on a whim. It seems kind of cool, but there is a lot of dialogue right now which is a huge turn-off for me when it comes to rpgs. I'm also not so sure about the combat, it seems a little shallow. just hold down x and hope for the best, use healing when needed, use talents.... Obviously I'll still keep playing, I'm a dwarf rogue, commoner. Fun though, hopefully it will open up a bit more now that I am done with the open sequence, im about to do the initiation ceremony with the grey dudes.

Man, if you don't care for tons of dialogue... you may not be into this game once it gets rolling. You'll spend a very large amount of time reading/listening/choosing from options in dialogue trees... and if you don't pay attention, you can fuck up the story slightly or anger party members so badly that they leave you. That said, I found combat to be fairly dull unless I swapped between my main character mage and Leliana (my rogue) on a frequent basis, but the rogues don't really get fun till mid-to-late-game when they can backstab people from the side and turn invisible in the middle of fights.

Yeah I have been playing it more now and I am growing to appreciate the dialogue more, since it is actually pretty clever. I just had my first holy shit moment where a merchant in the next town was price guaging and I pretended to be on his side and made the angry folk leave, then he offered a reward to me but I just killed him instead(it was a dialogue option). Alistair disapproved but Morrigan liked it. I like to fuck things up in RPGs and not plan things out really and just see what happens, same as I do in fallout 3 and such.

Yup, this game had some of the best dialogue I've encountered in a video game, especially Alistair's. Glad to hear you're warming up to the dialogue, man! The story is fairly typical fantasy, but the characters (especially Alistair, Zevran and Morrigan) more than make up for it. Did you bother doing the Mabari Warhound stuff in the Warden's camp? I found him to be a very, very awesome tank for a great portion of the game.

Playing From Dust on PC. I'm disappointed so far. PC version has no problem with zoomlevels but the controls suck because the camera is locked to the cursor and you control the cursor with both mouse and keyboard. And the sensitivity is really awkward and jumpy. It doesn't look very good either with no antialiassing, low quality textures and a jerky feel. And honestly I think the core game mechanic, placing and dropping shit is very fidgety.

Confirmed. I feel like the game is going to be over before I get used to these wonky controls too.
