I started playing Arx Fatalis, becuase a friend of mine said it was almost like Ultima underworld 3. It really kinda is, but I haven't played very muck so it's hard to say if it develops ok.

www.petergaber.com is where I keep my paintings. I used to have a kinky tumblr, but it exploded.

Went back to playing Dead Space some more. Chapter 6 or 7 now. Chapter 4 was my favourite so far. Sound design still amazing.

hey me too, im working on playing it on hard mode with just the plasma cutter. I'm on chapter 10 or 11 right now.

Tried the From Dust demo on XBL.

Seems interestning.. The visuals and sound design is spectacular. But i'm not really sold. The gameplay seemed a bit boring?

Nintendo's ex President lost half a billion dollars when their stock dropped 21% over the 3DS Price drop.

I think the end might be coming for Nintendo as a hardware manufacturer - I hope they go the route of Sega and make their wonderful games for other consoles.

You could have said the same thing about Sony when they released the PS3 and sales where going slow.

Nintendo has sold 88 million Wii consoles. And it was really cheap to make compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360. So they've made a shitload of cash on the Wii. Same thing with the DS. They are not in any more money trouble than the competitors. I find that hard to imagine.

So predicting something like that, because they just released a new handheld console with dissapointing sales (so far), seems a bit too early.

They did have to drop the sale price by 100 bucks. And if you think about it, ppl play game on their phones now innit. Also, they didn't provide many games for the platform.

We'll see what happens with the 3Ds though, plenty of nintendouches out there.

As for the state of the corporation, that's up to the next console./

people play angry birds on their phones. there will always be a market for AAA console releases by EA and other assorted assholes, though. PC releases... well, DRM makes me less hopeful.

i hate nintendo after the wii i hope they go bankrupt and get forced to make games for xbox or ps3 so they can focus on actually making interesting new games and characters and stories rather than just rehashing the same bullshit over and over

Ballad of Gay Tony and the New Vegas expansion. After that I will chill until Mass Effect 3.

I still kill time with Nfl 2k5 on my OG Xbox. And I played the shit out of Civ1 on airplanes recently.

Well of course the 3DS won't be their undoing - probably not the Wii U either (unless it's an utter failure, which I really don't see happening). Nintendo seems like the kind of company that refuses to break out of their mould of making new editions of their franchises and nothing more - surely that can't sustain them indefinitely, and I think the Wii U is "late to the game" in terms of catching up with Sony and Microsoft (hardware-power-wise). Even if Sony and Microsoft wait the rumoured 2 more years before even talking about the next generation of game consoles, Nintendo will be so heavily invested in Wii U they'll look very last gen once the next generation of consoles are unveiled (let alone released)... Just like with the Wii, but the once-innovative input will be old hat by then, so the appeal the Wii had won't sustain them as long as it did this generation. I could see where Nintendo finally sees the writing on the wall and decides software-only on multiple platforms is the true key to success. Leverage that with unique features to each platform for a title, and you've got people buying multiple copies of the same game just to get the full experience. It's a winning combination, IMO.

About 4 hours into Final Fantasy VI, it hasn't really grabbed me yet ....

I've always wanted to check that one out, seemed like the best of the 2D versions, constantly overshadowed by VII.

Are you playing it on your SNES? Emulator? Or did it come out on PS3 and did I just miss it?

There's little out there like this at the moment - a must for any Roguelike fans or those with fond memories of Elite.

I've also been enjoying 90s horror-themed point-and-click/FPS nostalgia trip, Realms of the Haunting:

This takes me back.

I've also been finding time to play Age of Fable, an excellent online version of Fighting Fantasy-type gamebook with character stats out the wazzoo and loads of replayability. It's very funny and if you like, you can play as a talking cat.

Also squeezing in a bit of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 when my housemate demands it. Playing with the dog in your team is essential.

Currently playing it on my HTC Desire (having finished Chrono Trigger and Earthbound over the course of the last few months to and from work). Hopefully the story will pick up soon - I think I was just spoilt by the immediacy of the previous two games.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

I just bought a new 24" monitor, so I'll be playing some Starcraft 2.

I'm currently playing Dead Space again to get some more trophies.

Playing Borderlands a little bit here and there. So they're coming out with Borderlands 2. I'm sure I'll be really excited for it after I beat the first one.
