I'd say that homicide was by far the best part of the game. It has the best missions. All the drug missions later on a pretty 'meh' and some of them are confusing beyond belief. You know you have all the clues and all the facts to put the guy behind bars but your clues are written in such weird and ambiguous ways that you can easily pick the wrong one when you want to accuse someone of something. I really liked the game to begin with but it has some serious issues.

I god I really want this game. I was just replaying dead space(the first) today on hard mode and it is fucking amazing.

 

The gameplay and controls are a lot better but it's still a monster closet game.

No. It's repetitive and gets very dull.

 

Love the atmosphere and music and whatnot, but this game received too much acclaim really.

I beat Dead Space 2. It was awesome.

 

I'm now playing The Sly Collection. Sly 2: Band of Thieves to be exact. The art style in these games are great. Lots of fun to be had.

I'll download it tonight, so I might be the first to try it, but if anyone's there first I'd like a mini-review too.

 

The one thing I took from the promo videos was that the planets evolution was incredibly fast and without playing it first-hand it looked very difficult to manage. I can only hope that the controls are fluid and there's an ability to perhaps slow time for the trickier periods.

Tried the Limbo demo - I want the game now. Very atmospheric and creepy, and excellent use of depth-of-field.

Sounds like the controls are a bit iffy from the review somebody linked.

 

I brought Darksiders and Enslaved yesterday for pretty cheap. Played a bit of both, both seem really interesting. Particularly story/characters wise. I'm already stuck on Darksiders, kinda regret playing on the hardest difficulty now.

from dust looks fun, and Eric Chahi is a stud. damn them for releasing ps3 last. depending on how the reviews are i might just get the pc version.

So yeah... I can see why people have been bitching about the controls. There are some obvious fucked up things about them. If you wanna rotate the camera vertically there are only two settings. Top view or a 35-45 degree angle view. You can't choose anything in between those two setting which is frustrating as hell, because the 35-45 degree angle view can be pretty useless from time to time because of the very mountainy landscape so every now and then a mountain will get in your way.

It seems like a pretty neat little game though but I'll won't buy it immediately.

I have given a code worth a month of Xbox Live Gold to a friend, the reason being Portal 2's coop. But he keeps playing League of Legends so now he owes me 5€. I'm playing Super Meat Boy in the meantime.

If any of you have been thinking about buying a Nintendo 3Ds then now is the time. Nintendo has just confirmed that they'll lower the price for the 3Ds from $249 to $169. I guess you can all thank Apple for that.
