hahaha me too.

I've been playing the new-ish Back to the Future game. If you are a fan of the series, you owe it to yourself to play this. The story is fucking GRAND. I'm on the 4th episode out of 5. Word of warning however, it is easy as hell. Clearly this game was designed so anyone can enjoy it. That being said, easy or not, it's worth playing for the story alone. The guy that voices Marty is SPOT ON. Chris Lloyd voices the Doc so that's cool. Play it.

After much reading, head scratching, and moving of files to and from an SD card, I'm finally playing CoD:BO Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii :sup:

Thanks guys, homebrew rocks :sorcerer:

edit: CoD:BO sucks as much as I heard it did. Single player is OK, but the multiplayer... wtf. Spawning basically in the middle of the enemy team. Got tired of it quickly and have deleted it.

Super Mario Galaxy on the other hand has been very fun, and I'm looking forward to checking out Super Paper Mario soon as well!

Aye ! And funnily enough I've gone back to playing Ultimate Doom again (ep.4 anyway). It's weird - the difficulty curve appears back to front with the first level being near impossible due to the lack of ammo and then every succeeding level getting easier (though more of a blood bath)

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Just Cause 2 is bad ass.. i don't understand the hate. i think people sometimes expect too much.. though i was pretty blown away the entire time. it got monotonous, but that just means there's a lot to do. plus, you can record and upload clips on to youtube straight from the game.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZyCL9Zk-MM

seriously, one of the best games for PS3 so far.

ninja gaiden II

big fan of the old xbox version, but this one almost seems to easy.

Play on Master Ninja.

Prepare to throw controller through TV.

Alice: Madness Returns...To me this game is generally a disappointment and not even worth 60 bucks. This game cannot be comparable to American McGee's Alice because the whole vibe has changed. The Cheshire Cat's voice is different and doesn't sound as sinister as it should be. The game is missing music or the variety of it. I know in an article that they were aiming for Victorian ambient type of sound and that's fine with me but to hear this redundantly gets annoying. Some of this annoyance is due to the levels being so fucking long you get bored of it. Why would you get bored of long levels? Tedious platforming. You gotta jump here and there, float there, find hidden this and that, hit this and that...just to push a button to open a door to do the same thing. Oh but wait you gotta do that while fighting the same damn enemies that you have been since level one. Thats the other thing is the lack of enemies. As you progress instead of new enemies they up the ante by making him a bit bigger and stronger. Lastly, the lack of boss battles....just when you think you are going to fight a boss, you've been fooled....the cinematic keeps going and this so call boss left or defeated by another character. Then you find yourself doing some more platforming and fighting the same enemies as "mini bosses".

Why do I keep playing the game? The same reason I played and beat ET when I was a kid....cause I'm stupid and to say I did it.

Has anyone read the interviews with Brendan McNamara, the founder of Team Bondi (the guys behind LA Noire), or the emails from former Team Bondi employees? It has lead to me not wanting to play that game anymore - nor the upcoming DLC that I've already paid for. I know it sounds ridiculous and I'm usually not one to boycott anything because of what goes on behind the scenes, but Brendan McNamara sounds like a biggest douche bag ever.

Yeah, it's horrible. And it happens at other studios as well, I've heard practices like these are fairly common in the industry. Too bad this information has surfaced so long after the release.

I've been doing way too many Civilization V sessions over the past days. And to be honest, it isn't the best in the series by a long shot. AI is way too easy unless you give them advantages, I've come up with a strategy to build wonder after wonder and boost my production to the sky, which makes everything feel unbalanced. And then there are the multiplayer issues. I played some LAN games. It lags, it jumps to loading screen for some reason, the interface gets stuck, there's this weird bug where you have to do everything in the order your units get highlighted etc. etc. Very jerky experience. I should pick up Civ3 again.

I'm also playing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series again. Only played Shadow of Chernobyl before and found some wicked mod for it: http://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-complete-2009

What's this all about?

Bad management treats personel as disposable, forces them to constantly put in long weeks & weekends and verbally abuses employees when insane demands aren't met. This caused a big rotation in personel during development. A lot of the people that left/got sacked during development were left out in credits. Employees from Team Bondi leak this information to address this problem.

The game industry is a very small world, especially in non-US/Japanese countries. For a lot of those employees/victims, Team Bondi might have been their only shot to work in the industry. And obviously, the game has cost much more than it should have.

looking for some fun 2 player games recommendations (again)

dead nation was fun but short

what's next?

shooter 2 is kinda boring which is odd as i liked the first one alot

Shooter 2 gets more fun as you get into it... some of the later puzzles are quite fun, plus an update for it just came out that addresses some issues (like knowing if you've gotten all the gems in a level or not).

You might want to consider looking at Outland - it has a co-op mode (which admittedly I haven't tried yet).

I'm also playing some Frozen Synapse which is much more fun than I imagined. I like that you can play multiple games at the same time. Multiplayer is very well done. Too bad it has this excessive loading sequence after each turn.

Yayyyy! I LOVE Frozen Synapse, glad to see someone trying it out.

Likewise. My old housemate gave me a code for it last year when he bought the sucker. Can be such a thrilling game. So rewarding when you get precision :)

I've been blasting fools, Gary C, and my housemate alike... challenge SailorSaucy if you reckon you can cut the mustard.

Playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl & Super Mario Galaxy.

FUN.

CoD:BO sucked so I'm playing through these two as well. Although Smash Brothers isn't as fun as I remember it being on the GC. Galaxy is awesome though!
