Dungeon Siege 3 comes out on Tuesday. I played the demo on PS3 and regret pre-ordering it. I think it'll be a decent game, but not worth the full $59.99. Oh well.

Man, I cancelled my preorder after playing the demo. I might pick it up when it drops to $30 though.

Yeah, I just cancelled my order too. $30 bargain bin it is. It probably wont take long to get there too.

Mirror's Edge is absolutely awesome. Totally underrated game with an absolutely awesome soundtrack and visual style, not to mention that the first-person parkour is hella intense.

Agree, I got mine for 8 bucks about a year ago. I liked the demo so much I had to buy it. It has its flaws and it's rather short, but it's definitely worth it just for the atmosphere of it all. Also it was a good call for the developers to use textures with pre-rendered radiosity, no one else seems to have copied that technique since, and I don't know why, it's an easy way to make lighting look way more realistic at zero cost regarding the game's performance.

more asassin's creed 2. I'm now at sequence 7 which is where you go to venice after having that crazy dream and do that chick on top of the building.

aww yeah beat my high score on tetris ds. 293,649.

640,267.

day not wasted.

What a laughable figure. I'm hitting 3 mil. every time I play now and quitting out of boredom, only to pick it up again 10 minutes later. Haven't used the DS for anything else this year.

there's 5 new free games on steam - spiral knights is a pretty fun arcadey mmorpg (think multiplayer torchlight): http://store.steampowered.com/app/99900/

if anyone wants to join a party in it, lemme know!

I'm still a bit depressed from finishing HL2e2 a little while ago.

I almost had a serious crai at the end, guys.

Abrupt ending to Mafia 2.

Hehe, yup. It's a shame though, I love the atmosphere, really high fidelity graphics and it has no aggressive LOD like some open-worlders have. I've been playing through Jimmy's Vendetta recently and they didn't even bother doing storytelling for that, it's just a bunch of missions with text briefings.

Seemed very well made, performed well and looked really nice. Wasted potential imo. The story was short and predictable - pretty bad storytelling as well to be honest. That guy in the junk yard, could you do missions for him or anything? Strange if there weren't any kind of side missions at all? I tried visiting him once when you need to earn some cash towards the end, but he said he had nothing for me. Perhaps it was too late into the game at that point.

I just completed Dead Space. Very enjoyable, perhaps some of the twists could have been a bit more twisty. I saw the main one straight off pretty much. At points this game was fucking RELENTLESS it's the only game i've come away from shaking. £8.99 well spent i'd say. Probably going to have to pick up the second one now too.

Crazy Taxi 2: definitely has to be one of my all time favs. it is rivaled only by Crazy Taxi 3.

Super Mario 64: tried to see if my brother and I could get every single star in a few days...fail. we came close though.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time MASTER QUEST: I kid you not the dungeons in this one are hard as a rock.

Castle of Shikagami III: Picked up this one randomly since it looked ridiculous, had anime chicks on the cover, and was $5. freaking badass game. its like galga on crack cocaine.

Hammerin Hero: slightly humorous side scroller. pretty fun.

LA Noire is fantastic! The graphics are amazing, the voice acting and sound is great (sounds awesome through my Tritton AX Pro). The facial animation is beyond anything I've ever seen in a game. It's just a brilliant game. And I'm probably not even half way through it yet. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds.

a whole new generation are about to discover what a pain in the arse this truly is:

I just finnished ass crede 2. It was pretty amazing. I still have some side stuff to do but I finished the glyphs and the main story. Now I want to find brotherhood(supposedly it is even better gameplay wise, even though it's just mainly in Rome, just not as "magical" according to the review) on the cheap and also play the first one in anticipation for revelations. I'm interested to see what happens on the desmond side of things, would be fun to play around in modern day as an assass in.

Yeah Assassin's Creed 2 was a great game. And yes, Brotherhood is even better. I won't give anything away, but I will say for you to go buy it as it's just a great game.

Working on finishing a few games, but I just got Outland (PSN/360) - made by Housemarque (Super Stardust HD, Dead Nation), and sort of reminds me of "Another World/Out of this World" and a bit of Patapon (the art style). The graphics are really neat, and quite a change from all this 3D rendered stuff. It's also reminiscent of Ikaruga, with it's whole dark/light system.

Assassins Creed 2 is better than Brotherhood to me.

The story and some of the missions in Brotherhood, felt a little rushed to me. But the gameplay/combat.. etc. was really improved in Brotherhood. And I was also surprised how good the multiplayer was. But it didn't have much longevity to me.

Hope Revelations will feel a little more complete than Brotherhood, in terms of the story. Must stuff that went on in Brotherhood was kind of forgettable compared to AC2

Can anyone who played Mirror's Edge recommend it?

It's cheap as hell.. I've been thinking of buying it many times. And I've downloaded and played the demo around 3 times. I just can't decide if want to play it and buy it. It's seems interesting, and I like the games look and stuff. But also it seems kind of boring.. Is that a wrong assumption?
