I'm still attacking Assassin's Creed 2 until 2 nights ago I got a fun surprise. My xbox will not read any CD. I tried home remedies suggested online..nothing. Finally called up Xbox and after they had me go through their testing they want me to send it in for repair. I asked how much will it cost to repair the CD Rom. 130 dollars! Still being civil on the phone instead of being one of the customers that blows up I explained I will back out of the repair because if its going to cost that much for a CD Rom, I'll just save that money for a newer Xbox.

if its like the ps3 version it should only be around 30 bucks now too...so you could pick up that and the undead nightmare expansion for 50 total...i think?

i havent played undead nightmare though so i dunno if thats as much fun

Undead Nightmare can be bought online for 800 MS points which is about $10. It's a great expansion and even though it's kind of a silly add on it'll still make you panic when you all of a sudden are attacked by 20 zombies.

i didn't really enjoy undead nightmare as much as the regular single player mode, but if you're itching for more red dead as i was it's a good buy. i think i've put about 50 hours into red dead since i got back home from school and have enjoyed every minute of it. i totally agree, it is one of the best games i have ever played. i haven't been wow-ed like this since bioshock.

you have to download the Welcome Back file first (small nothing file, asif its a registration patch or something). then you can just go back a few screens and find the actual game pages and you should be able to download them.

i'll admit, it was rather hard to work it out. it was just a lot of smashing the X and O buttons going back and forth between different pages that didn't make any sense : )

Meh, I would give up this psn+ and the 2 free games for the Fallout NV DLC! Bah!

agreed. i strayed from getting it initially because of all the bugs...but with the new patches...it runs fine...and its a hell of a lot more entertaining then FO3...though that in of itself is a great game.

love the gambling addition

got my luck up to 9 and won blackjack almost every single time

If at any point you can’t find the ‘Welcome Back Free Game 1 or 2’ products, the list of available titles or a game you’ve selected, go to your XMB>PlayStation Network>Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions to complete the process.

the free games were added to your cart but you haven't selected them. If you do this you should be able to select the games and finish the whole thing.

dead nation is awesome, I just got to the part with clown zombies, wtf!? Also wipeout looks promising but I'm only on the second stage of the campaign.

EDIT: if your system already had multiple accounts on it you can download the other games with those accounts. FYI

I picked up Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising for $5 a few weeks ago. I was a hardcore Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis player in my younger days, and while this is definately not the spiritual successor to that original, I'm enjoying it none the less. Frustrating aspects to it though, or rather what it lacks.

I also just ordered BRINK and should get it in a few days. Not too sure what I will think of it, but it seems to be a mix of TF2 and Enemy territory with some Mirrors Edge parkour elements thrown in. Should be fun to play with a competent human team. And the art style really appeals to me.

Got my games after the whole disappearing act they did on me :d

Just picked up mass effect a few days, (ya ya I know, late in the game  ) and surprisingly really like it, because I normally despise EA games because of their awful employee treatment and the fact that a lot of their games seem like assembly line produced crap.

However, Bioware did a phat job of making an excellent Sci-Fi RPG/Shooter. Very much enjoy the choose your own adventure philosophy of the game (reminds me of the Goosebump books

and it actually makes me want to care about what options I pick (most of the time). Honestly not a big RPG freak, but I did play WoW for about 3 years (stopped playing right after Wrath came out) and hadn't played an RPG since, except for Diablo 2 (Diablo 3 looks pretty BA btw). Love the ambience, character development, voice overs, and the whole non-linear aspect. The only problem I'm having is FPS issues, which is probably just due to my hardware. I have an nVidia Geforce Go 7600 and a gig of ram. Thinking about getting a new fan, possibly another gig of ram, and a new videocard.

I have absolutely zero idea on what kind of videocard I should look into. I want to be able to run Mass effect 1&2 as well as Dragon Age: Origins as smooth as possible without sacrificing too much dough. Anyone have any suggestions on a nice vidcard under $500 that will do the job?

Have you guys seen this game yet? By the makers of flower, journey: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/03/thatgamecompanys-jenova-chen-tours-the-world-of-journey/

it looks amazing. Probably the closest thing to the visuals I have seen in one of my dreams, especially the way the characters move and the sand. I had a very similar dream that involved magical indian characters with boobs/moustache floating amongst sandy cliffs waving their limbs wildy while floating, looking around in peculiar way as if in a different reality. Strangest and most magical dream I have had.

wow that looks cool! watching that video made me want to play flOw again. thank you.

About 20 minutes of Fable III. I'll stick with it. Hankering for an updated Populous.

Have you checked out From Dust? It'll be the spiritual successor to Populous 3 :)

Don't know about Dragons Age but both MEs require minimal graphics power. I have ME2 running on a 6850 with 1920 res and all options maxed and it's overkill.

I think the best choice would be what I just picked up: Nvidia's GTX 570. You can pick it up from newegg for about $360 US. It's a beast of a card and will definitely run the games you mentioned on a full HD monitor with max settings.

I got on PSN this weekend and got Dead Nation for free, and paid for Tetris HD.

Both games are completely awesome. I have no clue which I like better.

That's exactly what they want you to do... no way a DVD-ROM costs 130USD to replace.

Downloaded InFamous (free PS3 game): It's really, really good - the story is a bit weak, but the environments, missions and powers are great - I cannot for the life of me why I avoided this game for so long, but I'm glad I finally got around to playing it. the demo of InFamous 2 is on the PSN as well... might download that after I get through InFamous.

I just started playing it myself...and...im not really sold yet on whether this is a great game..the snipers on the roof are fucking unbearable...the hit detection makes it impossible to kill them most of the time...so i just end up running from one place to the next. ..but i spose thats the point? ive only done the first 3 major missions and a few side missions..so maybe ill give it more of a chance...GoW3 it is not, however.
