been playing LA Noire.

but i'm also playing it too much and getting slightly bored with it. and finding myself playing Mario Kart Double Dash alot more. which is just pure fun : )

Worst thing is, i'm probably going to end up buyning it when it comes out.

 

It will be interesting to see how badly the defections from Infinity Ward affects the quality of this game - they've got Sledgehammer Games helping them (I guess to make up for the 20+ defections), but they're not known as a AAA developer like IW once was. Graphics look good - I wonder if that was the PC or 360 or PS3 version shown (my guess would be PC).

I'll buy it and not enjoy it or ever play it to it's full capabilities online.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^this is what im talking about.. every year i get totally pumped up to the max, and every year i say it'll be better then the previous year.. and im saying it again! TOTAL PUMPED for NHL12

I don't know about NHL 12. For the past few months I've been playing 11 online team play with my bap character and I'm finding that the majority of players simply create monsters that do nothing but skate around on the ice, plowing through anyone and everyone. I can't do anything when it requires only a simple nudge to send me flying (with my balance,strength, and other relevant stats pretty high), and there is no real speed/agility punishment for creating these frankensteins. It's just too unbalanced, and now to say that this type of behavior is going to be rewarded in front of and even in/crashing the net? It sounds like a recipe for cherry pickers sitting in front of the net with their 99 hitting, pushing over the goalie/defensemen for their team mate to get an easy goal. I like the idea of battling in front, in the same way they added board play for 11 (which still needs a lot of work), but I don't have high hopes for it. Overall nothing in that video had me excited like 11 did.

i was in a team for like 13 odd games and i was a LD/RD and I scored once.. pretty ok +/- of like -4 or something. the thing with EASHL is if you don't have a proper team and just go to a quick match up its going to be shit, like you said with all these 99 everything monsters.

EASHL and HUT isnt my favourite. i liked the franchise mode lots and playing online and BAP. but thats about it really, nhl12 looks to be alot deeper with the franchise and BAP then 11 which is most welcome.

It's apparent they are still using the same game engine since Call Of Duty 2. Treyarch's COD3 was the game in the franchise to use a different engine since then. It's not too difficult to make new gun models, animations, textures and maps. They have basically just been modding COD2 for the last few years. I wouldn't be too worried about it being a noticeably different game.

Castlevania - Lords of Shadow PS3

Not far in, kinda annoyed at the learning curve for the controls. Maybe if i had it on an harder setting i'd give more of a fuck, just trying to race through it. It's the starter before i play killzone 3.

One other control thing that jacks me, is not being able to control the camera view with the other joystick. Oh and my god the the level intro text is so poorly written, you can't really blame it on the translation i think. Perhaps that is why Patrick Steward seems to not give a shit when narrating it.

Still playing through Red dead. been trying to get all of the achievements because i'm an achievement whore, but there are over 90 of them so it's kind of like my summer project (i have 30+ so far (and 30+ hours, yikes)). what an unbelievable fucking game though! totally sparked my new love for westerns (this week i watched the dollars trilogy, once upon a time in the west, the searchers, and rio bravo...) i love to just get blazed and walk around armadillo or ride my horse through the mexican desert, everything looks and feels so authentic and western and shit i'm a fucking cowboy!!!

i found bioshock 2 at a shop for 18$ so i've been playing that on the side too. bioshock is one of my all time favorite videogames, i just never got around to playing bioshock 2. figured it would be exactly the same and i was right! holy shit the missions are almost identical, and in the same order so far! but it's really fun to get stoned, shut all the lights off and play, spooook myself. i feel like bioshock 2 was made to satisfy my bio-hunger while i wait for bioshock infinite

Yeah, my brothers started on red dead. It looks really cool.

Just started Arkham Asylum. I absolutely loved that Scarecrow bit with the morgue.

anyone play the new d+d coming out to xbox arcade? i really like these kinds of games if they're done well, and the co-op is a huge plus
