got fallout new vegas up and running...good fun, had only one crash so far...oddly enough it was when i died.

i think i like the game mechanics in this better than FO3...not sure why yet though....but the Cowboy Repeater kicks ass.

I asked Joyrex for this ages ago, there was a poll, and everyone shot it down. I think the general consensus was "Why don't we just talk about games in general banter?"

However, as a result, we now have our gamer tags in our profiles.

The problem is we have a lot of gamers here who share similar interests. If we want to respond to something about a certain game, and keep a single discussion on it going, we need to search like 30 pages back, or litter gen ban with specific video-game topics.

Hmmm... perhaps it is time - question is, do we want to move this kind of discussion out of General Banter since so many share this interest (whereas, it made sense for the Football subforum since there was a minority, but a significant one, interested and it's year-round we talk about football (like games, too))?

I think it is a good idea. But the more I think about it, I don't think it would be worth it unless there are a lot of people who were also really into it and wanted to discuss more in depth on certain games. Personally, I would probably be more inclined to make a topic on a specific game if there was a subforum. I'd feel weird or out of place making a metal gear solid appreciation thread in genban. However, I probably would end up making a topic about it if there was a subforum. Not that there aren't a million more specialized places to discuss gaming on the internet, but since this community is so strong and seems to have some interest in the subject, I can see it possibly working out.

we have a minecraft server, and a thread with a ridiculous number of posts. just pin the minecraft thread.

Been waiting for a bit of cash for Mortal Kombat and just ordered it today. Been playing Orange Box in the mean time (first played through Portal, then HL2, then a bunch of TF2).

MK Should arrive tomorrow. I don't know why but I am so psyched for this game and have never even played a MK game before. Been watching tourneys and shit because I can't play it yet...

played through bulletstorm. it's definitely got a fresher approach with that skillshot system but the rest of the elements scream "im a dumbshit modern console fps": a cutscene every 3 minutes, huge flashing signs telling you what to do and what button to click, crammed and uninspired level design..a better level design especially could have made this much more interesting. shame on eurogamer with its 9/10. it's ok for a piratebay download, one pass and off to recycled bin at most.
