Still Fallout 3 ! cuz i'm poor, yo !

just getting into fallout 3 now as welll (i started it awhile ago but stopped cos i had other games i was wanting to play instead).

there's something incredibly involving and mesmerising about the fallout ridden rpg gameplay. even with the buggy (kinda crappy) controls and gameplay, it seems to be a sick game : )

when i played it on xbox it froze and glitched all the time, but since i got it for PC i've had no problems. also, i'm starting to learn that PC gaming is just way more awesome than console for so many reasons. (personally)

Yuh like how you can rent games to try them out, how you don't have to mess with openGL config files to adjust your draw distance, and how the games play off the disc so you don't run out of hd space. Not to mention PC gaming rigs are far cheaper then a console, and how most AAA titles are exclusive to PC, since the developers are so happy with the lack of pirating on PC's.

what will happen in the future ,i think, is that pcs will simply become as portable as current consoles and the gaming consoles will have no good reason to exist, there are already gaming notebooks which you can plug easily into your tv and plug some consolish controllers if you wish, but those are just too expensive at this point.

I'm guessing it'll pretty much be a future variant of one of these things -

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

I've always thought the PC game industry should develop a hardware platform (and make it either a breakout box or a PCI card) with a set of standards and make PC games for that - essentially a console, but due to the unified architecture, no more sub-par experiences for users whose hardware doesn't meet the minimum standards.

This pretty much ignores the point of having seperate handheld and console systems. It's going to be a long time before technology is so good that size won't be a limitation on processing power. Handheld systems will get better, and consoles will get better, not eliminated (not until cloud gaming takes off)

There would be no point. Computers are already processing/graphics units, why sell them an entirely redundant graphics/processing

device that is essentially a whole new computer. Why not just duct tape your xbox to your macbook and call it a PC gaming revolution.

Cloud gaming is the future.

i prefer console gaming cos i'm a lazy bum and prefer crashed out on couch half conscious video gaming to sitting at desk. it's just a shame that alot of the time good pc titles are ported over to consoles in a crappy buggy kinda way.

Erm, did you not even bother watching that onlive video I linked then, as that's exactly what it is :cisfor:

My fucking ps3 is buggered again so I'm playing nothing. Just when I was really getting into Portal 2 and BAM. I can't be arsed to re-flow it again so I guess money will need to be produced.

Any good deals going in UK?

I loved it 15 or 20 years ago, when we played it.

www.petergaber.com is where I keep my paintings. I used to have a kinky tumblr, but it exploded.
