Just started Arkham Asylum. I absolutely loved that Scarecrow bit with the morgue.

What a fantastic game that was. Can't wait for Arkham City.

Been getting back into Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on the Xbox... I haven't played it very much in recent months, but I'm still pretty handy as a medic.

I've been thinking about getting back into this recently... Maybe if I can tear myself away from Mortal Kombat. I was a hell of an engineer back when I played.

Today I decided to give the random encounters on GTA IV a try. I drove around Alderney until I found one: the guy was called Eddie Low. After I finished the mission, I was amazed and mildly disturbed, so I decided to search for his name on a police car's database, and found more interesting info about him. Then I went on the interwebs and read an article about him. I also found his blog. Holy shit, gta IV is the closest thing to real life I've seen on a videogame. Eddie Low is also the best character on a videogame EVER

this dan c guy seems like a fucking asshole

Still playing The Witcher, great game but difficult and frustrating at times. A lot of dodging, lot of patience without fucking up, reverting to previous savegames because you can't drink potions in battle and it's pretty unforgiving. It's the best RPG I've played since Demon's Souls though.

Castlevania is really starting to piss me off. They really don't throw enough enemies at you so that you can learn the new combo's or get a good feel for the control system. Also, i'm not completing enough of the levels, there's heaps of stuff i'm missing. gleh. I think they want you to play forward then come back and play bits you've already done with your new powers.

Man I forgot how much random ass insane shit you can do in that game, internet cafes and police databases? Totally forgot about that.

in the last 5 days ive lost 30 hours of my life to the new Mount & Blade. Fairly similar to the previous installments but equally addictive.

I just ordered a kickass gaming pc. Will be building it as soon as the parts come in the mail sometime early next week. The specs are as follows:

Intel Core i7-2600k at 3.8GHz (Turbo Boost)

8GB of DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 4GB) (Will buy another 8GB later)

ASUS Geforce GTX 570 CUII 1280MB

64GB SSD SATA III 6GB/s

750GB 7200RPM SATA II 3GB/s (This is actually my current storage HDD)

Mobo is ASUS P8P67 Pro

Corsair CMPSU-850TX 850W PSU

CPU fan is the Cooler Master V8 (So I can overclock to 4.8GHz)

A standard ASUS DVD-RW SATA optical drive

All in a Cooler Master Storm Scout case

Running Windows 7 64-bit

Cost me $1650 CAD. Got the parts from newegg.ca.

This is all in preparation for Battlefield 3 and Skyrim.

witcher 2 players, a patch has been released that removes drm and (vastly, in my case) improves performance.

yeah it's called pirating the game.

this developer has a bright future

Put down 15 quid on Frozen Synapse (Steam) last night and haven't stopped playing it since. It's a glorious turn based strategy game set in a wireframey, virtual reality kinda world. The story is irrelevant really as the gameplay is what's special about it.

It's kind of hard to describe why it's so good, but you basically plan out the movements of your soldiers simultaeneous to your opponent and watch the resulting strategy unfold. It sounds like shit but when you watch the turn play out it's immensely satisfying seeing a well laid plan work out! I can imagine multiplayer is where the game shines but I've been having great fun playing single player.

If you buy the game on Steam you get an extra free copy for a friend also, so it's well worth it! There's no demo unfortunately, but it has Obel's seal of approval if that helps?

Soundtrack is nice too!

I believe I still have that game on one of those old 128 Games in One cartridges.

Frozen Synapse has a decent Youtube upload function as well.

This is my first attempt at the third level:
