i'm playing demon's souls, yakuza 3 and L. A. noire right now. kind of disappointed with L. A. noire. it gets the mood right, but tosses too many annoying chase sequences and lame fights your way, and it doesn't really feature any real problem solving. they definitely should've hired someone else to write up the cases, as well, even though the dialogue is good.

kind of annoyed that i've lost my copy of fallout new vegas somewhere.

I really should finish AC2 and AC Bros.

Been playing heaps of Left 4 Dead 1 on PC, missed the old co-op zombie apocalypse thingo. (I didn't bother getting L4D2 because of the censorship.)

How is Left 4 Dead? Been considering getting it for that exact experience.

It's great. Fun, well-developed and polished, really knows the genre it fits into. The gameplay and environments are both pretty sweet. Basically if you love zombies and zombie apocalypses, you'll love this. Playing with a good group of people is where it's at - I get a good feeling out of taking down a Tank in expert when all 4 players are working together.

The only issue I thought I might run into in coming back to this game after a long while was not being able to find games on account of everyone moving to L4D2. Player numbers really have gone down but not enough for you to not be able to play whenever you feel like it, especially if you're in the US.

Btw, could I get an invite to the the WATMM Steam group, id is http://steamcommunity.com/id/melodiousthunk

Awesome, I'll definitely be hitting L4D up when have money again.

assassin's creed 1 and assassin's creed 2 (+DLC) is only 9.99 a piece on playstation store today. I've never played either, should I skip 1? I can really only afford to buy one of them right now and I'd like to get the most bang for my buck before this deal goes away, so I'm thinking just getting AC2.

I never finished AC1 either but I'm planning on buying it again because I really like stabbing people but I'm afraid that going back to AC1 after having played AC2 and AC Bros will be like a kick in the face. AC2 was such a great improvement over the original and AC Bros even moreso. Just keep in mind that you're going to want to put a LOT of hours into these games.

I just started playing it and I have to say, 10 dollars is one hell of a deal for this game. Story and production value is great, attention to detail in the game. And it just keeps hitting me over the head with it's scope. One of the best games I've played in a while. I'm just at the part where you get the 4 codex things in the villa and you start investing in buildings. I still have no idea what the fuck is going on either, but it's definitely fun. I really like the art puzzles too, and the encyclopedia entries on characters and buildings, and the letters. So many little things that make me realize a lot of work was put into the game.

im finally trying to play through the entire game. I've never done it myself; only watched others. I basically just got to summers

recently become obsessed with packing my psp with a bunch of emulators (doom, cps2, mvs, scummvm, gba, snes)

perfect platform for them, + i'll have something to play at work

for the pc, probably starting or finishing a few:

Crisis 2

Metro 2033

Duke Nukem Forever

Mirror's Edge

Shogun 2 Total War

still on infamous....man this shit seems to be getting repetitive

which is even more pathetic that ive found about 25% of all the blast shards

Half Life 2 (for the third time)

Just achieved the "Zombie Chopper" achievement for completing Ravenholm with just the Gravity Gun. Great fun! The part where you wait on the roof for Father Gregori to send over the lift and the fast zombies are clambering up the guttering.....All I had as projectiles was the ammo and that was gone after the first zombie. I literally had to run around in circles to avoid being attacked by them. It was intense!

I don't remember completing Episode 2 so I am looking forward to that. I remember blitzing through Episode 1....

I'm fed up with waiting for Half Life Source to come out on mac so I'm just gonna use parallels to sort that out. Its been over ten years since I played Half Life and I don't remember completing that either!

I look forward to hearing what Valve are going to do next.

Rented Duke Nukem Forever for xbox today. Turned it off after about an hour because the controls on the console are so frustrating. Maybe it's me or maybe it's this game but right off the bat I'm not hugely impressed. I'm just going to wait until my pc special edition arrives in the mail.

Picked up Alice: Madness Returns, which happens to come with the first game, American McGee's Alice, for free. Playing through the first one now. Not a bad game, very atmospheric, if extremely short. Dark and slightly twisted with lots of platforming. Haven't started the new one yet.

yeah the missions are annoying but is it possible to get bored of climbing buildings and leaping off the top, floating a little then grinding a telephone wire then flying off the end onto another roof whilst shooting electricity out of your hands at a bad dude?

when infamous2 drops to $20 imma get it.

Completed Batman: Arkham Asylum

Really surprised how good it was. But kind of a shame it ended when the combat was just starting to get really fun (because of the upgrades etc.).

Also it sucks there probably going to be drought of good games the next three months or so. I have all the time in world for playing games at moment.

For some very strange reason I still haven't beaten HL2 Episode 2. I know, I should be shot in the knee caps, right? So I'm getting on top of that right now. Steam is loaded, the game is just one click away. Here I go.

same. i'm on the last chapter of HL2e2 at the moment. it's waaaayyy better than e1

next on the list, mirror's edge, which i bought in that ridiculous steam sale at christmas but only ever gave a cursory glance to.

wtf, i just started playing that myself, and came in to post that myself (mirror's edge)

Just beat Mass Effect 1. LOVED it. Any game that mimics KOTOR is going to be good. Too bad I can't run part 2 :(

Mirror's Edge is absolutely awesome. Totally underrated game with an absolutely awesome soundtrack and visual style, not to mention that the first-person parkour is hella intense. Gonna have to get on that after I finish the Alice games, I never did go through without killing anyone with guns.

There, I beat Episode 2. What a cliff hanger. Luckily, I haven't been waiting as long as most people for the next episode or HL3, whichever ends up coming. It's been years since the Orange Box was released, and it'll probably be years more before the next part is released. GAAAAABE!!!!

I started a new game in Crysis 2 again. Running it on my new PC, which is handling it like a piece of cake. I love my new PC.

Dungeon Siege 3 comes out on Tuesday. I played the demo on PS3 and regret pre-ordering it. I think it'll be a decent game, but not worth the full $59.99. Oh well.

Just getting around to Mafia 2. Ok so far. Nudged a smartly dressed man with my car, he didn't like it, I punched him and waddayaknow, gangsters everywhere shooting me to death.

On the PC this puts GTA to shame. Loads quickly, no performance problems, looks great too - and this is on a 4 year old pc.
