I'm playing shadows of the damned. It's rather broken and super shitty in places, but I still kind of like it.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

On my 'puter - Final Doom - The Plutonia Experiment, the level design is a little schizophrenic to say the least ...

On my phone - Final Fantasy VI (the game has got a heck of a lot better after the rather slow start)

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Oh I forgot, I played a bit Child of Eden on 360 + kinect hooked up to my home cinema / projector setup. Overwhelming, but soooooo ffffffuuuuuuukkkkiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg sweeeeeeeeet.

Start this video and the BF3 trailer at the same time and watch the BF3 trailer. That would give you a pretty good idea of what my initial response was like.

I need to get back to Outland... haven't played in over a week!

Also... PS3 now 249.99/249 Euros/24,800 Yen

Too much Civ IV

....too much.

friend of mine has been glued to... CIV 5, i think? i was going to buy it so i could conquer his kingdoms, but then i found out it was $50. i paid less than that for CIV II many years ago, and CIV 5 looks like the same fucking game to me. fifty bucks, fuck that! shit should be $20.

I picked up dragon age origins on a whim. It seems kind of cool, but there is a lot of dialogue right now which is a huge turn-off for me when it comes to rpgs. I'm also not so sure about the combat, it seems a little shallow. just hold down x and hope for the best, use healing when needed, use talents.... Obviously I'll still keep playing, I'm a dwarf rogue, commoner. Fun though, hopefully it will open up a bit more now that I am done with the open sequence, im about to do the initiation ceremony with the grey dudes.

Playing From Dust on PC. I'm disappointed so far. PC version has no problem with zoomlevels but the controls suck because the camera is locked to the cursor and you control the cursor with both mouse and keyboard. And the sensitivity is really awkward and jumpy. It doesn't look very good either with no antialiassing, low quality textures and a jerky feel. And honestly I think the core game mechanic, placing and dropping shit is very fidgety.

I want to play Black & White instead.

EDIT: Apparently it's capped at 30FPS and some people are having difficulty with the DRM. (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/08/18/from-dust-does-need-online-badly-ported/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rockpapershotgun%2Fsteam+%28Rock%2C+Paper%2C+Shotgun%3A+Steam+RSS%29) It's a Ubisoft game, should've known better.

Man, if you don't care for tons of dialogue... you may not be into this game once it gets rolling. You'll spend a very large amount of time reading/listening/choosing from options in dialogue trees... and if you don't pay attention, you can fuck up the story slightly or anger party members so badly that they leave you. That said, I found combat to be fairly dull unless I swapped between my main character mage and Leliana (my rogue) on a frequent basis, but the rogues don't really get fun till mid-to-late-game when they can backstab people from the side and turn invisible in the middle of fights.

Yeah I have been playing it more now and I am growing to appreciate the dialogue more, since it is actually pretty clever. I just had my first holy shit moment where a merchant in the next town was price guaging and I pretended to be on his side and made the angry folk leave, then he offered a reward to me but I just killed him instead(it was a dialogue option). Alistair disapproved but Morrigan liked it. I like to fuck things up in RPGs and not plan things out really and just see what happens, same as I do in fallout 3 and such.

If its still on sale at amazon, get Paradox Interactive's Europa Universalis III Chronicles or Heart of Iron II.....makes Civ seem like a 4 year old's strategy game. And if you are a history nerd like me thats just added benefit.

I just got finished an epic war (I am the Prussian Empire) against Austria AND France. They had more than double the manpower but thanks to smart sieging tactics and manipulation of the front on the Austrian offensive, I crushed them both completely :spiteful:

Well, I'm completely new to the Metal Gear series, and I've decided to give it a try, so now that I have enough money I've googled this and that, did some research (no, I'm not buying the HD collection) and I'm gonna buy:

- Metal Gear Solid: Will probably buy the original psone release, as I don't know if the Integral version will work on my european ps2 (do you guys know if the Integral version would run on it?)

- Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, no special packages or anything, just the game

- Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, includes the original Metal Gears for the MSX2. No special editions or nothing, just the game

And for MSG4, Portable Ops and Peace Walker, I don't own a ps3 nor a psp, so I dunno. Am I missing something? Which versions do you recommend? Where to buy?

honestly id say wait on MGS4, the cinematics are beautiful, but to me it didn't have the same WOW factor that MGS3 had.

MGS3, IMHO, is the jewel of the series.

very disappointing. are you still playing it or have you given up hope on enjoying it?

I haven't played a game since LA Noire. This sure is the quiet before the storm.

Oh wait... I do play some Pacman Championship Edition DX every now and then.
