I’ve fallen into similar sleep patterns a few times in my life and it’s always been rough. I hope you can adjust that to a more normie schedule soon, in my experience that helps a lot with making life easier.

thanks  I'm working on it. some things have to change soon (e.g. I'm gunning for a move to a different org entirely) and it will have to start with this otherwise, as you imply, it'll undermine everything.

Sicario - Excellent, excellent film. Got to be an 8.2 out of 10. Mood, atmosphere and pacing was spot on. Soundtrack also on point. Did I read somewhere that it is by Lustmord? I think so.

i can't remember having seen a film with such consistently poor performances in before. not even a single line felt right. probably an issue of being written by a man who isn't as good at english as he imagines. how the cast couldn't make anything of it, i don't know.

I love that movie. I've never really made a big deal about representation onscreen (though it is important to some extent) but it's nice seeing someone like Riz Ahmed get props for killing these types of roles.

what is the appeal of these Terrifier movies? they look like total trash.

Donnie Darko is one of my go to Halloween movies. usually give it a re-watch every few years. this year I tried the directors cut version. never again. further proof that Richard Kelly was a one-hit wonder with the OG DD. it is perfect for what it is, and should not have been tampered with.

Watched 10 minutes of Terrifier 1 last night. Then thought to myself, "Terrifier 2 is the one that got people talking". So I put that one on, watched 30 minutes and then started skipping around. It is utter trash. The gore isn't even repulsive. It's just stupid and super amateurish - and good fucking god so is the acting.

I think it appeals to 13-17 year old boys who want to impress ze ladies by saying. They're the only ones dumb enough to find anything worth liking in those movies.

Everyone just love him and hyping him up so much but he only have 1 look all the time: The look of being extremely bored of his life

they're movies where a clown is just goofing around while brutally murdering people. entirely entertaining if you are in the mood for such a thing.

idk why squee is being so smug about them but this isn't some janus films offering or whatever. it's a clown taking delight in brutal murder. the gore is good and there are fun set pieces and practical effects in these that remind me of the good ole days of horror. far superior to a24 "it's actually about trauma" horror films of the 21st century imo.
