Donnie Darko is one of my go to Halloween movies. usually give it a re-watch every few years. this year I tried the directors cut version. never again. further proof that Richard Kelly was a one-hit wonder with the OG DD. it is perfect for what it is, and should not have been tampered with.

DD is definitely one of my all time favorites!  Agree with you on the directors cut thing, but not because of the film itself but the music.  Hell one of my favorite parts of the movie is "Killing Moon" in the opening scene and they replaced it.

You have watched all three? Lol. Just a 10 second trailer of the first film was enough.

Loved it! I’m definitely partial to it because it’s supposed to take place in Maine. Macaulay is great in it, and there were some awesome stunts that had me questioning how they filmed them

The Wicker Man 10/10

The Thing 10/10

Life 7/10  Was quite surprised with this film as I didn't know that it was a horror film! I was expecting something like The Martian. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through. Huge Prometheus vibes with the cobra alien. But done far better here. Ending was also good.

Sicario - I may of mentioned this last page - 8/10

The Creator (2023) 👀 / 👼

this movie looked so f good; art direction & world building next level - but the plot & acting we've all scene b4 so many tiems, so jsut another hollywood cyber version redux escapist cliché imo ))::

seven samurai by akira kurosawa. 4K remaster.

second time i've seen it. first at the cinema. not that impressed by the picture, but wondering if my eyesight needs testing. scale of the screen didn't add to the impact for me. still a great film, of course.

Exactly this!

It was a top notch movie if you ignore the story and how it's told.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Yeah, very nice to look at and listen to.

The way the CGi is implemented into the footage is as good if not better than in some +200 million dollar movies. Hats off to Gareth!

Watching a documentary on the Child's Play movies.

Why is it that people have started to AI upscale every single picture or footage that is +10 years old? They did the same thing in the new documentary on The Zodiac on Netflix.

I mean look at this crap...

It's not about preserving details, it's about inserting ungodly machine hallucinations.
