Hmm this doesn't sound like quite like any aphex I've heard before. There were aphex "phrases" but over all composition seemed fresh. Maybe I just need to listen to more Drukqs. That album definitely contained the tracks most closely resembly this. Some tuss springs to mind as well.

Can't say this blew me away after the first listen.

Its proper nice I get Tuss vibes mixed with a bit of windowlicker/ Come to daddy (the ep not the track particularly)

However I actually kinda of agree with Osciilik would rather hear it in the context of the album so haven’t downloaded it and only had a few listens on youtube and dont plan on listening again till the album is out. Ive always been like this even back in the day of singles and albums hate overplaying a track so it then sounds out of place on the album.

Trying hard not to overplay this track but damn if it isn't delicious

i swear they're slightly different. the minipops version has a few parts where hes added shit in to the song that i think makes it sound a bit cluttered. and the vocals dont sound right to me. that part @ the very end i dnt like much either, but it could sound better in the album context

 

Still a gr8 track that has its moments tho. I hope the rest of syro is better 8-)

Yeah that's true when you hear something before it's released at a live event it can make a stronger impression on you, I'll always remember the ON Ep that way, live it was very mental..

i love the track. but i think he might have toned down the choir vocals a bit. is it just me?

Mang I have to say, the soundstaging is very special. When that first little clap hits at +/-8 seconds, and it's like it's in front of you, and you're in a small room for a split second with hard walls. Berry goood.. And I'm not even high. This lovely employment of the old spacial goodness carries on all the way through, and I reckon gets the old brain dancing. Amazing what he can do with 2 channels really..
