Flying Lotus - Until The Quiet Comes

That short has some really interesting cinematography, and the tracks sound great but is it supposed to have some underlying commentary that I'm missing or is it just some surreal imagery set somewhere in the hood in LA?

I think so. I like the pictures, but they doesn't make sense, even not in a surreal way. To me, the three tracks don't sound that promising. I don't like all this singing.

I'm really looking forward to this. His full length albums have always been great. 1983 is cool, lotta analoggy synth tones, and as many have noted, very influenced by Dilla's drum sounds, and really his perc sounds in general. Solid, very boom bap, yet often very glitchy too. Los Angeles has a very aquatic, extremely deep sound. Cosmogramma was of this world and also had a really creative sound. I'm sure Until the Quiet Comes will sound really cool.

I have a feeling this album is going to be a smoking soundtrack for me, I think it's gonna be really atmospheric, trippy, and dark.

I'm not sold on him being the second coming troon. I think he is good but no where near what people make him out to be.

he's already pretty big around where I'm from.. at least more so than other artists on warp records. He had a couple songs on Adult Swim which i think helped out a lot

No, but I do look back with pleasure at a particularly magical time when I first started listening to his music...it was pretty much exactly like this:

i appreciate the work he did on adult swim with tim & eric. i liked los angeles, and found cosmogramma to be decent enough. looking forward to his latest works, albeit i am very middle of the road on flylo.

Why would someone be "out of the road" with a musician he appreciated before? Wtf it's JUST MUSIC.
